typeapersonalityA question that many homebuyers think they know the answer to but few do. The real estate agent that you work with should be the one that you feel most comfortable with. If you are an aggressive person “Type A” you probably want an aggressive “Type A” real estate agent. If you are a more laid back person “Type B” than you may be open to an aggressive agent to compensate for your less aggressive tendencies, but chances are you will feel more comfortable with a less aggressive real estate agent. It is all about you, not them. If you feel that you are training someone to be more like what you are comfortable with you will be sadly disappointed because people are not able to change who they are. They can adjust how they approach you but they can’t change themselves to meet the personality traits that make you feel comfortable for a long period of time.

A professional real estate agent is not unlike any other professional. They’re busy, they’re slow, they have people who they are answerable to. They have people that are answerable to them. They approach each of these situations from their own perspective and their own experiences. Remember that you are the boss and that you are hiring someone to help you buy your home. You need to interview them. In fact you should interview several agents to be sure that you are working with the right agent, one that’s  for you.  You may be spending a great deal of time with this person so you should like them. You don’t have to want them over for dinner, but you should like them. There is nothing more unappealing than spending time with someone who you would rather avoid. This mistake could keep you from making a home purchase and that was your goal when you met them so don’t let anyone get in your way. Interview a new agent.

When you update your profile on Qazzoo it will be featured at the top of the results page and your chance of being chosen by the right agent for you is amplified and you have your choice of who you want to work with.
