THE POSITION:

Qazzoo has an immediate opening for an exceptional web developer with 3-5+ years experience developing and maintaining PHP/MySQL based web applications and websites to join our growing web development team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, self-starter with a “can do” attitude, and able to work in a fast paced startup-like environment. This is an on site position located in our Annapolis, MD offices. Qazzoo.com, based in Annapolis, MD, is a cutting-edge technology company with a particular focus on innovative real estate technologies. Since 2012 Qazzoo has reverse engineered traditional real estate lead generation and has grown to be on of the highest rated lead providers available today.

This is a newly created position. The web developer will work at our Annapolis offices and will report to the Senior Web Developer.

PHP DEVELOPER QUALIFICATIONS:

• You believe in writing clean, readable and maintainable code
• PHP 5.6 and 7.x, SQL, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS and experience working with MySQL
• Familiar with integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery workflows and Version control (Git)
• Solid understanding of web application security principles and practices
• Demonstrated understanding of Object Oriented programming concepts and patterns

NICE-TO-HAVES:

• Experience working with WordPress
• You’ve built an application using a PHP framework such as Laravel
• Experience using one or more JavaScript libraries or frameworks (jQuery, Vue, Angular, etc.)
• You’ve written some Python code, are familiar with BASH scripting and are not afraid of the Linux command line

EXPERIENCE:

BA/BS OR equivalent demonstrated work experience

3-5+ Years experience developing PHP applications
