What happens after I claim a homebuyer lead?
As soon as you have claimed a homebuyer lead or as we call it a consumer profile Qazzoo emails the consumer so that the consumer is aware that you asked to contact them. Qazzoo emails your professional profile to the consumer in real time along with your contact information, name and your entire profile. This is why we stress to the professionals using Qazzoo to make their profile as engaging as possible.
If you have spent the time discovering how to find homebuyers and now you are a member of Qazzoo you should take the time to make sure that your profile communicates as much about you as possible. Because Qazzoo is a community we are focused on making the connections that you make within the consumers in the community as productive and beneficial to all parties as possible.
This is why we suggest adding the following to your Qazzoo professional profile:
- Your Name
- Your Brokerage
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your website
- A photograph of yourself (people want to work with people, not logos)
- A brief description of your professional experience (leave out the designations)
- Some info about yourself that is not professional in nature (hobbies, family, favorite foods)
When the homebuyer receives your professional profile it is important that they get a feeling that you are like them. People like familiarity and are more comfortable with people they have things in common with so this is your chance to humanize yourself. If you enjoy camping, add that to your profile. If you enjoy riding your polo pony and drinking expensive wine, leave that out of your profile. Represent yourself as a human but there is no reason to alienate anyone this early in the process.
When the homebuyer receives your profile you want them to identify with you and this is the beginning of creating the relationship that will lead to more sales with fewer hurdles. December 21, 2012Okay so what’s the down side to all this? Here is a service that finds the person a realtor is looking for AND in the area the realtor wants to work. It also let’s the prospect know that the realtor will be contacting them AND gives the prospect detailed, personal information about the realtor. There’s gotta be a down side. What is it??!!

May 22, 2013I have purchased a number of leads that are bogus and Qazzoo has given me credit. But I still see leads that I have purchased coming up as available … so I don’t know how many other agents “own” the same lead. Also, the photos displayed with the lead may not be associated with the lead at all — just random stock photos. I’d rather have no photo than a misleading photo. Some photos appear to be auto loaded from Facebook. I’ve seen several leads with profile photos posted that look like mug shots or worse. I submitted a profile as a consumer to test it from the consumer side since it said I could return and edit or delete my profile. I created a profile but many of the fields displayed on the website profiles were not available on my form … it was pretty abbreviated even though I did it at my computer, not my phone. But when I went in to remove my profile, I didn’t see any way to access it. So I still see my own consumer profile up there with photo that has nothing to do with me. I know one agent purchased it but I have talked to her so she knows it was a test.
The rules on member fees and buying leads seem to be changing frequently. They obviously are still evolving. The jury is still out on Qazzoo as a lead source for me. I’m working the leads, but so far, not one has turned into a client.

January 2, 2013I think the downside will always be expectations. We get locked into thinking that we should be able to close every deal or qualify every potential home buyer. The truth is that there are thousands of potential reasons someone does not work with someone else. Personality, timing, ability, unrealistic expectations on both sides of the equation are the biggest downside I can think of and that has never changed.
The only way to counter this is to set a goal and try to make it better by degrees. For example if you set your goal at closing 10% of the home buyers you connect with and then you are able to meet that goal, then you have to set the next goal a little higher and keep doing this. Trying to leap from 10 to 15% will be a negative re-enforcer. But going from 10 to 11 and then 11 to 12 and being able to maintain that 12% may lead you to 15% but you have to constantly reexamine your goals and keep them within reason so that you can attain continued success. A brief but unsustainable success can be worse than all out failure. At least with failure you know what not to do! Set reasonable goals and re-asses constantly. (my suggestion) -

Thanks for the feedback. Allow me to try to clarify some of the confusion factor. I hope this is helpful?
1. The photos are taken from social media when possible and when we cannot locate a photo we do place a visual element (pic) so that real estate professionals can recognize leads with just a glance and don’t have to read each one in their recent connections folder.
2. No lead can be claimed by more than four agents. As soon as it is claimed for the fourth time it is removed from the search engine.
3. For consumers that want to modify their profile we offer our phone number and are planning to launch an automated system soon.
4. I will pass your information to client services to remove your profile so that you are not contacted again.
5. We recently made the FLAG feature more prominent so that you and others would find it easier and flag leads that are bogus.
