The COVID-19 pandemic has created many obstacles for real estate agents in 2020. Instead of hosting several in-person meetings, many agents have opted for video conferencing tools such as Zoom and Facetime as other methods for interacting with clients.
As we continue to work through the pandemic, real estate agents are continuing to adjust to these video applications as part of their day-to-day schedules. Because there is much uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, agents should work to incorporate these newer ways of interacting with clients moving forward. With this, here are a few video conferencing success tips for real estate agents.
This is one of the most manageable steps you can take to help make your video calls go as smoothly as possible. You want to look your best on camera, and this will only be made difficult if your clients are struggling to see you due to poor lighting.
Everyone hates having to deal with poor internet connections. Always check that you have a strong connection wherever you are before making a video call with one of your clients.
Be sure that you maintain eye contact throughout the duration of your video calls to engage with your clients. This will allow you to fully engage with the person(s) on the other end of the call, as you would if you were meeting in person.
Real estate agents are constantly on the move, and sometimes they don’t have the luxury of taking calls from the comfort of their home or office. However, if at all possible, try to create a professional background when taking video calls.
Whether you are sitting down in front of a computer monitor or standing with your smartphone in your hand, you want to be sure that you always position yourself to be in the center of your camera. Your clients want to be to see you and not just your forehead or chin.
